Simone Kress

Simone studies geography with a focus in physical geography at the University of Bayreuth. She is writing her bachelor thesis at the Department of Biogeography about treelines on oceanic islands at a global scale. Are treelines in trade wind systems at the luv side lower than at the lee side? In her work, she links climatology and vegetation geography to analyze a fundamental biogeographic research question.
