Bachelor Thesis:

For my bachelor thesis "Successional development of plant traits on a chronosequence of lava flows on an oceanic-volcanic island“ I established a chonosequence across eight lavaflows on the island of La Palma, Canary Islands and investigated temporal and elevational trends of foliar nutrient contents of a phytometer plant (/Rumex lunaria L./) and plant communities, as well as local and temporal presence patterns of legumes and succulent plants.

Master Thesis:

For my master thesis I am currently planning a two-months field trip to western Canada, where a chronosequence of seven lavaflows will be investigated in respect of species-ID and cover. This data will be included in a larger comparision of successional patterns across climatic zones.
