Giant rosette plants are some of the morphologically most illustrious plants we know on this planet. In this work, I assemble all known species and genera containing tropical alpine giant rosette plants for the first time and address morphological traits, which enable them to grow in tropical alpine environments. I will particularly address energy regulating morphological traits and manifest the importance of certain habitat limiting traits like, tall lignified stems. Additionally, showing the discrepancy of different reproductive strategies regarding altitudinal growth limitations of giant rosette plants.
